Beru Whitesun Lars is originally from Alderaan who becomes the wife of moisture farmer Owen Lars and the adoptive mother of Luke Skywalker. Renowned for her nurturing nature, moral strength and tenacity, she helps run the Lars moisture farm in the Jundland Wastes on Tatooine and provides Luke with guidance and education following the fall of the Jedi. Her major milestones include marrying Owen and leaving Alderaan, adopting and raising Luke at Obi-Wan Kenobi’s request, sustaining farm operations under harsh desert conditions, and ultimately sacrificing her life when Imperial stormtroopers attack in search of Skywalker.
