Fennec Shand

Fennec Shand is a human female bounty hunter, elite mercenary and master assassin who built a fearsome reputation working for the galaxy's top crime syndicates, known for her marksmanship with a long-range sniper rifle, her cunning, and her willingness to change allegiance when the payout justifies it. She first rose to prominence in the years just after the Clone Wars, when she was hired to track the young clone Omega — a hunt that took her from Pantora across the galaxy and repeatedly pitted her against Clone Force 99, though she ultimately proved a more ambiguous figure than a straightforward villain in that pursuit. Decades later, during the New Republic era, she was hunted on Tatooine by the novice bounty hunter Toro Calican and the Mandalorian Din Djarin and left for dead in the Dune Sea, only to be recovered and rebuilt with cybernetic implants by Boba Fett, to whom she then pledged her loyalty. As Fett's partner she helped him reclaim Jabba the Hutt's palace and install himself as daimyo of Mos Espa, fought in the war against the Pyke Syndicate, and joined Din Djarin's crew in the rescue of Grogu from Moff Gideon's cruiser. She is not known to have died in canon.

~19 BBY - Hired to hunt Omega

In the first months of the Galactic Empire, Shand was engaged by Kaminoan scientist Nala Se to recover the young clone Omega, beginning a long pursuit of the child and her protectors in Clone Force 99.

~19 BBY - Betrayal on Pantora

Shand won Omega's trust on Pantora before turning on her, fighting off Wrecker and chasing the girl across the city rooftops. Omega escaped back to Hunter, and Shand vowed to continue the hunt.

~19 BBY - Pursuit across the Outer Rim

She continued tracking Clone Force 99, at one point capturing Omega and delivering her toward Kamino, while quietly withholding information about the girl's true value from other interested parties.

~18 BBY - The Bad Batch's final campaign

Working alongside Nala Se's interests, Shand remained entangled with Omega's fate through the Empire's cloning program, ultimately aiding rather than opposing the effort to free the clones from Imperial custody.

9 ABY - Hunted on Tatooine

Now a wanted assassin with bounties from every major syndicate, Shand was tracked across the Dune Sea by the rookie bounty hunter Toro Calican and Din Djarin. Calican shot her and left her for dead in the sand.

9 ABY - Rebuilt by Boba Fett

A mysterious armored figure — Boba Fett — found her dying body and had her wounds replaced with cybernetics, saving her life. In return she pledged herself to Fett's service.

9 ABY - Recovery of Boba Fett's armor

Shand accompanied Fett to Tython, where he bargained with Din Djarin for the return of his Mandalorian armor and then covered the Mandalorian in the fight against Imperial forces.

9 ABY - Rescue of Grogu

She joined Din Djarin's assembled crew — Boba Fett, Cara Dune and Bo-Katan Kryze — in boarding Moff Gideon's light cruiser to free the child Grogu from Imperial captivity.

9 ABY - Seizing Jabba's palace

With Fett, Shand stormed the Hutt palace on Tatooine and helped install him as the new daimyo of Mos Espa, serving as his enforcer and chief strategist.

9 ABY - War with the Pyke Syndicate

Shand fought in the street battle for Mos Espa against Pyke forces alongside Fett, Din Djarin and the Mods, and afterward eliminated the crime bosses who had betrayed them.

After 9 ABY - Fate unknown

Shand survives every appearance recorded in canon to date; no death has been depicted, and her column on the timeline is open-ended rather than terminated by a death year.
