Jacen Syndulla is a Force-sensitive human/Twi'lek hybrid, the son of the rebel General Hera Syndulla and the late Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, and the grandson of the Twi'lek resistance leader Cham Syndulla. Born during the Galactic Civil War shortly after his father's sacrifice, he first appeared as an infant and toddler in the epilogue of Star Wars Rebels, glimpsed alongside his mother in the years following the Battle of Endor. He made his live-action debut as a boy in the Disney+ series Ahsoka, where he expressed a wish to become a Jedi like his father, hinting at inherited Force potential. Named by creator Dave Filoni as a nod to Jacen Solo of the old Expanded Universe, he represents the next generation of the Syndulla and Jarrus legacy.
