Max Rebo
Maximilian "Max" Rebo was a male Ortolan from the cold world of Orto and one of the galaxy's best-known jizz-wailer musicians, famous as the leader of the Max Rebo Band. Short, blue-skinned and long-snouted, he was instantly recognizable behind his red ball jett organ, an instrument he played with his feet rather than his hands. Rebo and his band made a career of playing for criminals and gangsters, most notoriously as the house act of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, performing in Jabba's Tatooine palace and aboard his sail barge in 4 ABY — where the band's number "Jedi Rocks" accompanied the dancer Oola's death in the rancor pit and Jabba's capture of Leia Organa. Rebo survived the destruction of the sail barge over the Great Pit of Carkoon, and by 9 ABY he had found steadier and safer work on Tatooine as the resident musician at Garsa Fwip's cantina, the Sanctuary in Mos Espa, still playing a red ball jett organ when the newly installed Daimyo Boba Fett came calling. His fate after the Sanctuary's destruction is not established in canon.

Rebo became a popular musician in the jizz genre and formed the Max Rebo Band, taking the red ball jett organ as his signature instrument and playing its keys with his feet. The band built its reputation performing for criminals, gangsters and crime lords.

Rebo's band took up residence in the Tatooine palace of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, becoming the court's entertainment.
4 ABY - Performing in Jabba's palace
The Max Rebo Band played for Jabba's court as the Twi'lek dancer Oola was dropped into the rancor pit, and were still performing when Jabba sprang his trap on Leia Organa, who had infiltrated the palace disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh to free Han Solo from carbonite.
4 ABY - Aboard the sail barge and survival
Rebo and his band accompanied Jabba aboard the sail barge Khetanna on its journey to the Great Pit of Carkoon for the execution of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca. The barge was destroyed in the ensuing fight, but Rebo survived.
9 ABY - Playing the Sanctuary in Mos Espa
Rebo was employed as the musician at the Sanctuary, the Mos Espa cantina run by the Twi'lek Garsa Fwip, where he performed on a newer model of red ball jett organ. He was playing there on more than one occasion when the former bounty hunter and new Daimyo of Mos Espa, Boba Fett, visited the establishment.
