Cad Bane was a ruthless Duros bounty hunter from the planet Duro, widely regarded as the best and most feared bounty hunter of the Clone Wars era following the death of Jango Fett at the First Battle of Geonosis. Recognizable by his wide-brimmed hat, twin blaster pistols, and cold professionalism, he was repeatedly employed by Darth Sidious for high-risk operations, including a raid on the Jedi Temple to steal a holocron and, later, the kidnapping of Force-sensitive infants. He clashed with Jedi such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Mace Windu, orchestrated the breakout of Ziro the Hutt, and briefly allied with figures like Aurra Sing and Darth Maul. In the war's final months he was hired to recover the enhanced clone Omega, crossing paths with Clone Force 99 and mentoring—and dueling—a young Boba Fett. Decades later, during the era of the New Republic, Bane resurfaced on Tatooine working for the Pyke Syndicate, where he was ultimately killed by his old rival Boba Fett.
