Plo Koon was a male Kel Dor Jedi Master from the planet Dorin who served on the Jedi High Council through the final decades of the Galactic Republic. Renowned for his level-headed judgment, compassion and unflappable calm, he wore an antiox breath mask and protective goggles to survive in oxygen-rich atmospheres, and he was a gifted pilot and swordsman who also commanded the rare Force technique known as Electric Judgment. He sat on the Council during the Naboo Crisis and fought at the First Battle of Geonosis that opened the Clone Wars, then served as a Jedi General leading the 104th Battalion — the \"Wolfpack\" — alongside Clone Commander Wolffe, with whom he shared an unusually close and respectful bond, insisting that clones be treated as men rather than materiel. Among his most enduring legacies was discovering the Force-sensitive Togruta child Ahsoka Tano on Shili and bringing her to the Jedi Temple, remaining a mentor and protector to her for the rest of his life. He survived the destruction of his fleet by General Grievous's warship Malevolence, took part in the rescue of Even Piell from the Citadel, and fought across countless campaigns before Order 66 in 19 BBY, when the clone pilots escorting him over the bridge cities of Cato Neimoidia turned on their general and shot down his starfighter, killing him instantly.

While patrolling the bridge cities of Cato Neimoidia in his Jedi starfighter, Plo Koon is caught by Order 66 when the clone pilots of his own escort open fire; his fighter is destroyed and he is killed in the crash, one of the first Jedi to fall in the purge.
