Key events in Qi'ra's story

31 BBY - Birth on Corellia

Qi'ra is born on Corellia and grows up in the Bottoms of Coronet City.

~20s BBY - Taken in by the White Worms

She is caught trying to pickpocket Moloch, brought before Lady Proxima, and made a scrumrat of the White Worms. There she meets Han, and they go from rivals to friends and then to lovers.

~13 BBY - Head Girl

At about eighteen, Proxima names her Head Girl of the White Worms.

~13 BBY - Failed escape from Corellia

Han steals a vial of coaxium and the two flee Proxima together. At the Coronet Spaceport gate the White Worms recapture Qi'ra while Han gets through, promising to come back for her.

~13 BBY - Sold into slavery

Proxima sells her to the slaver Sarkin Enneb, who later sells her on to Dryden Vos of Crimson Dawn.

~12 BBY - Joins Crimson Dawn

After a year of failed escape attempts, Vos offers her a place in Crimson Dawn in exchange for lifelong loyalty. She kills Enneb, is branded with the syndicate's mark, and is trained by Vos in Teräs Käsi.

~12–10 BBY - Vos's lieutenant

She becomes Vos's enforcer and trusted lieutenant. On one assignment on Ord Mantell she turns IG-88 and Hondo Ohnaka against each other and captures them both.

10 BBY - Reunion with Han Solo

On the yacht First Light she meets Han again, now working with Tobias Beckett. Vos sends her with the crew on a plan to steal unrefined coaxium from Kessel.

10 BBY - The Kessel Run

She brings Lando Calrissian and the Millennium Falcon into the job and rekindles her romance with Han. On Kessel she poses as a slaver to get the crew inside the Pyke mines.

10 BBY - Kills Dryden Vos

On Savareen, Vos uncovers Han's double-cross and Qi'ra kills Vos to save Han. She then contacts Maul, Crimson Dawn's true leader, and goes to Dathomir instead of leaving with Han.

~10 BBY onward - Maul's pupil

She becomes the public face of Crimson Dawn. Maul teaches her the truth about the Sith, Palpatine and Vader, and trains her to fight them.

~2 BBY - Crimson Dawn in decline

After Maul dies on Tatooine, most of the galaxy believes Crimson Dawn is destroyed. Qi'ra quietly takes control of what remains.

~1 BBY–3 ABY - Preparing a war on the Sith

She builds the Dawn Fleet and recruits the Archivist Madelin Sun, Ochi of Bestoon, Deathstick and the Knights of Ren. She also sends Sun to search for Yoda.

3 ABY - Claims the frozen Han Solo

Her agents take the carbon-frozen Han from Boba Fett on Nar Shaddaa. She then announces Crimson Dawn's return to the galaxy's crime lords.

3 ABY - Auction on the Vermillion

At Jekara she auctions Han to the syndicates. When Darth Vader arrives to claim him, she duels Vader, and the auction ends in open conflict between the Empire and the Hutts.

3 ABY - Meets Leia Organa

She stops the Millennium Falcon, tells Leia that Han is alive at Jabba's Palace, and offers the Rebellion her help.

3–4 ABY - Crimson Reign

She starts a Syndicate War among the crime families. She reveals to her followers that her goal is to kill Sidious and Vader, and she arranges the assassination of the Emperor's Royal Guard.

3–4 ABY - Aids the Rebel Alliance

She gives Leia the location of the Rebels' last surviving fleet division and hands over Ellian Zahra's hunter fleet. She also offers to manage the Alliance's supply chain.

3–4 ABY - Takes Cadeliah

Deathstick brings her the child Cadeliah, heir to the Mourner's Wail Syndicate and the Unbroken Clan, and Qi'ra takes her in.

4 ABY - Hidden Empire and the fall of Crimson Dawn

She lures Palpatine and Vader into a trap built around the Fermata Cage at the Amaxine Space Station. The Knights of Ren betray her and free the Sith Lords, and Crimson Dawn collapses.

4 ABY - Into hiding

She leaves her remaining resources to Cadeliah, goes into hiding, and watches the Empire fall from obscurity.
